Learn performance technique with Hula Hooping Hannah

Circus-style training grounded in strength, storytelling, and stage presence.

Hula Hooping Hannah is a Chicago-based performer with a decade of experience in the entertainment industry. Her approach blends circus-style hoop technique with the physicality, stage presence, and storytelling that make a performance feel intentional.

Throughout her career, Hannah has worked with the Cincinnati Circus Company, Circus Smirkus, and Pyrotechniq Productions. She also appeared as “The Hooping Dead” on The Gong Show in 2018. In this course, she breaks down demanding skills and the preparation behind them so you can build strength, confidence, and a performance style of your own.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for hoopers who already have a foundation in basic hoop dance and want to build stronger on-body, foot, multiple-hoop, and performance skills. Complete beginners will get more from starting with Learn to Hoop Dance first.

What hoops will I need?

The lessons use different hoops depending on the skill, including a larger hoop for foundational on-body drills and multiple hoops for split and combination work. Hannah explains technique and setup throughout the course; use equipment that matches your current control level and practice space.

Do I need performance experience?

No. You do not need to have performed onstage before. The course is designed to help experienced hoopers strengthen technique, presentation, transitions, and performance confidence before—or between—live performances.

Can I take the course on my phone, tablet, or computer?

Yes. Podia courses work in a web browser on phones, tablets, and computers, so you can watch wherever you have a reliable internet connection.

Can I download the videos?
